This past week there was a significant 5.3 earthquake in the Denver area. Mention was made of the granddaddy of all earthquakes in Colorado on the 6.6 one of Nov. 7, 1881. This earthquake is most significant in Rangely history.

I regret I’ll not be able to bring dutch oven desserts to accompany the Rangely Museum Society’s Ice Cream Social this Sunday afternoon, Sept. 4. Last year I was joined by Bill & Mike Zadra and we had a great time sharing our dutch oven creations.
Arrests made in drug investigation
RANGELY I Wednesday morning 26 officers from seven agencies participated in several arrests and property searches and seizures. The operation was very well organized and all activity happened without incident.
