Everyone is welcome to attend Septemberfest — Rangely’s annual Labor Day celebration. But Tim Webber, director of the Rangely Recreation and Parks District, which is the main sponsor of this weekend’s events, has some people he would like to personally invite.

Hantavirus cases have happy endings decade apart

Hantavirus may not be a very common disease. But it can be deadly. Joe Merriam almost found that out the hard way. Merriam’s daughter, Annie, contracted the disease in 1999, during the summer before her senior year at Meeker High School. She nearly died.

RHS golfers open season

RANGELY I After only three days of practice, Rangely Senior High golfers participated in their first tournament Aug. 12 at Battlement Mesa Golf Course. Playing a tough course and in windy conditions, the Panthers struggled according to coach Ellen Boudreaux.
