Fire officials plan burn near Aldrich Lakes this autumn
RBC I Federal fire officials on the Blanco Ranger District of the White River National Forest are planning an 800-acre prescribed fire this fall on National Forest lands near Aldrich Lakes and adjoining private lands in Rio Blanco County, approximately 19 miles northeast of Meeker.
Montrose Powwow will be this weekend
MONTROSE I The Indian Nations Powwow will be this weekend in Montrose at the Friendship Hall. Doors open at noon Friday and dancing starts at 4 p.m. The event runs through Sunday.
