Pair of county golfers hope to make game a career

Golf in northwest Colorado — at least for the season — will be coming to an end soon. But for two golfers from Rio Blanco County, the sport is more than a seasonal game. It will hopefully be a career.

Fire officials plan burn near Aldrich Lakes this autumn

RBC I Federal fire officials on the Blanco Ranger District of the White River National Forest are planning an 800-acre prescribed fire this fall on National Forest lands near Aldrich Lakes and adjoining private lands in Rio Blanco County, approximately 19 miles northeast of Meeker.
