Meeker’s Lane Anderson already a state champ, goes to nationals
MEEKER I Lane Anderson will be a seventh-grader at Barone Middle School this fall, yet he has already won a state rodeo title before completing the sixth grade, and he just finished competing in the National Junior High Rodeo Finals in Des Moines, Iowa, last week.

MEEKER I Deena Norell, 18, of Meeker, is featured in the July issue of Spin to Win Rodeo magazine in a featured article about breakaway roping titled “Whiz Kids.“ In addition, she will be competing in the National High School Finals Rodeo this week.

The Range Call Celebration started because of a rodeo and is the oldest annual rodeo in the State of Colorado, performing for 128 years, with two professional rodeos in 2013.
