White River Electric Association held is 27th annual golf tournament last week and for the past few years they advertise it by parking their rebuilt 1956 International at the Meeker Golf Course.

WREA substation needed but location is uncertain

MEEKER I The site of a new electrical substation hasn’t been determined, nor has a decision been made on when one will be built. But one thing is for certain: There is a need for an additional substation for the town of Meeker.

MEEKER — The lights went out in parts of Meeker on Saturday afternoon when two electrical poles were pulled down on First Street, next to Stage Stop, turning the power off in the downtown district as well as other businesses and residential neighborhoods in the area.
