Wrestling is an individual sport but it takes sacrifice and support from coaches, teammates and especially family to succeed. Meeker’s wrestling program has been successful for many years because of local families like the Watts. JC Watt ran the Meeker duals last Saturday for the last time as the head wrestling coach of the mighty Meeker Cowboys with his wife Alicia and daughter Avery by his side. As previously announced, this is his last year. Watt and the Cowboys won the Meeker Duals and will compete this weekend in La Junta, in the state-qualifying Region 3 tournament. Thank you, Coach Watt and family for your contributions, time, sacrifice and dedication to Meeker’s storied wrestling program — good luck!
