The Rangely town council and Rangely Police Department were thankful for a generous donation to the K-9 program from Bud Striegel. “W.C. Striegel has been such an integral part of the success of this community over the years and with the funding provided, the K-9 program will continue to thrive as this money will support training and equipment for Rio and his trainer Mike Schwartzengraber,” Rangely town manager Peter Brixius said. At a recent town council meeting, Schwartzen-graber (with Rio) was presented with his certificates of training for the K-9 program by Chief Vince Wilczek and Roy Kinney.
