MEEKER — The Barone Middle School boys’ basketball teams opened the season last Saturday at home against county rival Rangely. The seventh- and eighth-grade A teams split, with the BMS seventh-graders winning and Rangely’s eighth-grade team winning.
The BMS seventh-graders used all 18 of their players to beat Rangely’s six players 33-25.
Dylan Mobley and Kevin Eli each scored 10 points and Eli led the team with 12 rebounds. Fabian Jones had five steals in the game.
Things didn’t go has well for the BMS eighth-graders, as they lost 17-39.
