Call your broadband service provider

RBC | It’s the spring season officially, which means everyone is excited to shake off those winter cobwebs and start enjoying the great outdoors. It also means that the Rio Blanco County Broadband project is going to be kicking back into high gear. Many county residents are wondering where the fiber is, but there are a surprising number of neighborhoods that are ready to be installed. That means it’s time to call your service provider to ask if and when you can have your service hooked up.
The first thing you want to do is to decide who your service provider is. Rangely and Meeker have two great providers in Cimarron Telecommunications and Local Access Internet. You may already have a service through one of these companies, but if not, then here’s how you can contact them to see if you’re ready for a service install. Local Access Internet has a website at www.localaccessinternet.com and they can be reached by telephone at 970-878-3703, or by email at [email protected]. If you want to reach Cimarron Telecommunications, they have a location in each town. For the Rangely office, you can reach Bob Knight at 970-778-5177 and for the Meeker office, you can reach Tim Knight at 970-878-4421. You can also go to www.cimarrontelecommunications.com and fill out an electronic request form under the “contact” tab.
It’s important to note that even though many neighborhoods are ready to go, it doesn’t mean your particular one is ready. On the other hand, calling your service provider can help them understand the scope of installs that are ready, while also preparing for installing in neighborhoods as they are being finished. Everyone is working hard to provide high speed fiber service, but we ask that you continue to have patience and don’t be afraid to call.
