RANGELY | The Western Rio Blanco Recreation and Park District will celebrate the 2012 Christmasfest, a Grinch-themed Christmas in Rangely Friday and Saturday. Local businesses will be open for special night hours (6-8 p.m.), with sleigh rides starting at Main Street Coffeehouse, caroling and free photos with the Grinch at Colorado CPA. Saturday’s activities include Breakfast with Santa at the Blue Mountain Inn and Suites, starting at 8 a.m., followed by a craft fair, the Snowflake baby contest, crowning of the senior king and queen, the Parade of Lights at 6 p.m., a chile dinner followed by a dance recital.
MEEKER | “Plates for Non-Profits,” the monthly fundraising event for Meeker organizations, will be held Saturday at the Meeker Cafe from 5 to 9 p.m.
