RANGELY I One of the greatest trademarks of a small town is the way people come together to support each other in difficult times. The family of Roebi Hodges is so appreciative for all the community has done since their son was involved in an accident which caused a serious brain injury March 4.
Roebi was flown to Denver Children’s Hospital where he continues his recovery. He is doing very well and may get to come home as early as April 16. He is a remarkable young boy and has bounced back as only kids can, and all signs point to a full recovery. He is weak but getting stronger every day. The medical care provided by Denver Children’s is truly amazing but comes with a price. The community of Rangely has set up three upcoming fundraisers, a spaghetti dinner, a golf tournament, and a Scentsy benefit. The golf tournament will be held Friday, April 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cedar Ridges Golf Course in Rangely. The tournament is free with donations accepted. There will be a putting challenge, longest drive prize, closest to the hole, and hole in one shootout. In addition to the day of golf, enjoy a $6 hamburger meal combo with all proceeds going to the Hodges family. There will be a spaghetti dinner April 23 put on by the Parkview Elementary staff. The dinner is from 5:30-7 p.m. and tickets can be purchased at Parkview Elementary ahead of time for children $3, adults $6, and a family pack for $25. Tickets at the door are $4 for children, $7 for adults, and a family pack for $30. Stacey Shriver, a Scentsy consultant, is sponsoring a benefit as well and orders made by April 27 will benefit Roebi. You can order online at scentsy.com/Stacey Shriver.
Everyone is invited to come enjoy golf and dinner and benefit a great cause.
