RBC I The next meeting of the Community Networking Group will be held Tuesday in Rangely with the topic being broadband for Rio Blanco County.
Guest speaker will be Rio Blanco County Internet Technology Director Blake Mobley, who will offer an update on the county broadband project.
The gathering will be held from noon to 2 p.m. at the Weiss Conference Room on the campus of Colorado Northwestern Community College. Pizza, salad and dessert will be served.
The agenda includes: County broadband project history; educational steps taken; education results—the new clay model; next steps; and the Rangely Networking Group’s role in the project.
Mobley will go over the broadband Request For Proposal and the Board of County Commissioners’ adopted plan.
Today and Friday, the selected private parters will be on site in Rio Blanco County doing the initial outside plant engineering for the fiber optic to the homes/businesses in Rangely and Meeker.
