Dana Forbes’ fourth grade class from Rangely’s Parkview Elementary School visited Eagle Crest Assisted Living Center Sept. 25.
Students visited with the residents and read aloud stories they had chosen. After initial nervousness, students and residents had a fantastic time. An important benefit for the students was to realize what a difference they can make by giving others the gifts of time and attention. Forbes said, “I appreciate (superintendent) Matt Scoggins and (principal) Mike Kruger … because they encourage us to ‘think outside the box’ with a view to bringing excitement and fun to the learning process.”
