RANGELY — Hey folks. Have you seen it yet? Radino Center has a brand new bus. We took delivery on it Tuesday, Aug. 22, with only 1,700 miles on it. It truly is “brand new.” It carries 20 passengers and has seats on one side that fold up to make lots of room for wheelchair riders. AnnaLee and Cleo love it, as they now have a dependable vehicle to take us on our trips for shopping and medical appointments.
Speaking of trips, Radino and the Chuckwagon took a one-day trip to Leadville on Aug. 16. While in Leadville we will be taking a ride on a train pulled by an old steam engine.
The ladies are busy with their crafts, increasing our inventory every day. We have the craft room open Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoon from 1-4 p.m., so if you need anything for gifts, stop by and see us. We just received a shipment of hand woven throw rugs, so we now have a large selection to choose from. We also have some new items, such as steering wheel covers (keeps it cool while you are out of your vehicle) and beaded banners in several patterns to decorate your windows. You are welcome to come down on those days to visit with us, play games or just have coffee and cookies, free of charge. Don’t forget that we also play Bingo on Tuesdays with a good selection of prizes if you win.
We have had quite a few of our seniors move away this summer, and we miss them very much. Mable Banta and Slim Anderson have moved to the Grand Junction area. Gwen Elam moved to American Fork, Utah, to be nearer to her daughter and Grace Hayes has moved to Mesa, Ariz. We will miss them all.
Don’t forget — you don’t have to be a senior to eat at the Radino Center. Just call us at 675-8112 by 9 a.m. the day of or afternoon before you want to join us.
