Rangely peewees compete at Rifle, Craig

Four Rangely peewee wrestlers competed in the Craig tournament last week and three returned with gold medals. Hunter Hanvey, Byron Mackay and Karver Lopez all won their respective brackets. Sam Tucker also competed but did not place.

Four Rangely peewee wrestlers competed in the Craig tournament last week and three returned with gold medals. Hunter Hanvey, Byron Mackay and Karver Lopez all won their respective brackets. Sam Tucker also competed but did not place.RANGELY I Thirteen wrestlers traveled to Rifle to start the season and turned in a good showing with eight of 13 Rangely wrestlers placing.
Bryce Spann and Tytus Coombs placed second, Justin Rusher and Devin Ramirez placed third, and Karver Lopez, Dylan LeBleu, Brody McElhaney and Doug Denison placed fourth. Those wrestling but not placing were Sam Tucker, Kasen LeBleu, Byron Mackey, Dalton Dembowski and Grady Nielsen.
Four Rangely youth wrestlers traveled to Craig on Saturday, with three – Karver Lopez, Byron Mackey and Hunter Hanvey – being crowned champions. Sam Tucker wrestled well but did not place.
Rangely wrestlers will travel to Hayden this Saturday.
