RANGELY — Thursday, April 16 is the kick-off meeting for the 2009 Rio Blanco Relay for Life meeting will begin at 5 p.m. at the CNCC Johnson Building Banquet Room.
This is the official opening meeting with all teams invited to come enjoy the fun, food and prizes that will welcome you to the Relay festivities.
All local teams (Meeker and Rangely) are encouraged to attend this meeting. Members of these teams will walk and raise funds to help eliminate cancer. These teams will gather at the relay in tents and campers and some are planning fundraising events for the night of the relay. If you do not have a team, you are also welcome to attend the meeting to learn more about the relay, to join a team, or to get involved in some other way.
The 2009 Rio Blanco Relay (Aug. 21-22) will be a fun-filled, overnight event designed to celebrate survivors, remember loved ones and raise money for the eradication of cancer. Food, entertainment and camaraderie will be available throughout the 28-hour event.
