RANGELY I A retirement party will be held Friday for Paula Davis, who has been heavily involved in community activities during the 37 years she has lived in Rangely. The gathering in her honor will take place Friday at the Rangely Library from 3 to 5 p.m. Davis was mayor of Rangely from 2010 to 2012.
She raised her family in Rangely as well as having worked at Gambles, Frontier Electric, the school credit union, the Rio Blanco County Road and Bridge Department, Rangely Insurance, the Rangely Police Department and at the social services office in Rangely.
Davis has served on the Rangely Recreation Board, the Rangely School Board, the area fire board, the Rangely Cemetery Board and she serves as St. Timothy’s Bishop’s Warden.
In her spare time, she runs the Safe House, Victims Services and volunteers at the Rangely Food Bank.
