MEEKER — On May 19, sheep and goat 4-H Club members got together and weighed their animals. After we ate dinner, Morgan Neilson, Denee Chintala and Taylor Neilson did a demonstration on showmanship.

The judge for both sheep and goats was Ronda Bromley.
The next meeting will be held June 16 at 7 p.m. Bring your lamb or goat as this will be a showmanship clinic.
Wildlife club meets

MEEKER I The first-ever DOW Junior Officer/Wildlife 4-H Club had its organizational meeting on May 12.
The club leader is Tom Knowles, Division of Wildlife game warden, whose area covers all of west Meeker. Officers elected are: president, Mason Scritchfield; vice president, Jake Smith; secretary, Cody Nielsen; treasurer, Sheridan Harvey; reporter, Bradi Bland; council reps, Ty Dunham, Daylon Nielsen, Casey Turner, and the pledge leader is Jacob Nielsen.
The club discussed what a wildlife officer does and what they would like to learn and do in the club this year.
Ideas include big game and fish, outdoor survival, wildlife habitat and law enforcement.
The club participated in the 4-H carnival on May 30 at the fairgrounds and sold popcorn as a fundraiser.
The club will meet every other Monday, beginning June 1 at 4 p.m. in the new Exhibit Hall at the fairgrounds.
