Escaped Grand Junction prisoner captured Monday in parking lot of convenience store in Meeker
MEEKER — An escaped prisoner from a Colorado Community Corrections facility in Grand Junction was arrested Monday, along with an accomplice, in the Kum ‘N Go parking lot on the west edge of town.
Meeker man arrested for possession of methamphetamine, cash, weapon
MEEKER — Kevin O’Connor of Meeker was arrested Oct. 31 after more than 19 grams of suspected methamphetamine was found in his vehicle, along with a large amount of cash and an illegal knife.
Total calls for service increased 6.82 percent in August over 2007
RBC — In a report released by the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s office, the number of incidents for August 2008 increased 6.82 percent over August 2007 totals, with 1,095 incidents this August up from 1,025 incidents last August.
Incident reports to RBC Communications Center decrease in July
RBC — In a report released by the Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office, the total number of incidents received through the communications center decreased from 1,265 incidents in July 2007 to 1,155 incidents in July 2008.
Graham’s son arrested Sept. 15 for child abuse
VERNAL — Danette Graham’s husband, Carlos Graham Jr. was arrested here Sept. 15 on charges of sexually abusing a child.
Two arrested for theft in Karen Court area
MEEKER — On Aug. 14, the Meeker Police Department received a call at approximately 2:15 a.m. of two suspicious males unloading items from a vehicle in the Karen Court area.
Former CNCC staff member arrested in sting operation
RANGELY — A former staff member at Colorado North-western Community College was arrested for allegedly trying to solicit a 13-year-old girl online.
June calls for service increase 4.8 percent
RBC — The total number of incidents received by the Rio Blanco County Communica-tions Center increased 4.8 percent during the first six months of 2008 compared to 2007 totals. However, in June 2008, the communications center logged 992 incidents during the month, down from 1,031 incidents in June 2007.
