Top placings for pee-wee wrestlers

Tucker Chinn was one of six Meeker pee-wee wrestlers to take a first place finish at last weekend’s tournament in Hayden. Of the 37 Meeker wrestlers who went, 35 placed in the top four.

MEEKER | Thirty-five of 37  young Cowboys placed in the top four last weekend in Hayden.

“The tournament was held in a round robin format so we got lots of matches, and the kids wrestled well,” said head coach Carl Padilla.

Placing first: Boomer Sjoerdsma, Toren Gates, Tilden Gates, Tucker Chinn, Snowdon Williams and Zeek Gianinetti. Second place finishers: Noah Hanberg, Dillon Koenig, Deegan Moody, Jordan Simpson, Lyam Richardson, Kael Overton, Holden Gallob, Dillon Hobbs, Joshua Smith, and Clay Randell. In third place: Victor Villalpando, Radnar Larson, Dayton Koenig, Lucas Simpson, Miles Franklin, Thomas Theos, Iyne Burris, and Garrett Merz. Fourth place finishers: Mattaio Padilla, Dylan Rundberg, Davin Rust, Brig Williams, Isaiah Gianinetti, Col Williams, Ryan Hanberg, Elijah Rundberg, Cody Richardson, Drake Jones and Trevor Keys.

The pee-wee Cowboys will wrestle next in Rifle on April 27.
