Spaulding, Choate win Ladies’ Deer Fly tournament
MEEKER I Rifle’s Kenda Spaulding and Battlement Mesa’s Britt Choate teamed up to win the annual Ladies’ Deer Fly Scramble, held at the Meeker Golf Course June 7, but Meeker’s Peggy Back and Patty Edwards represented the local course well, finishing with the best net score in the event.

Meeker won’t do local tree chipping
MEEKER I Meeker’s town administrator announced on Tuesday that the town will not be doing limb chipping services this year. “Due to staffing constraints and numerous priority projects, the Town of Meeker is not providing limb chipping services this year,” he said.
