MHS basketball girls open their season tonight as Shootout hosts
MEEKER I The lady Cowboy basketball team will open the 2015 season on its home court tonight when they tipoff at 7:30 in the first round of the White River Electric Cowboy Shootout tournament.
Obituary: Roland ‘Red’ Leavitt
Roland “Red” Leavitt was born in Milton, N.H., in October 1925. He died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015. Skiing was the highlight of “Red’s” life. As a young boy, he spent his winters skiing every chance he could, “thumbing” rides to and from the ski areas each weekend.
Colors of the season…
Just after a light snow on Saturday, the Town of Meeker’s Christmas lights, in combination with the street lights, cast a colorful glow along Main Street. The work was done by White River Electric Association crews in the spirit of the season.
