CALL SUMMARIES
Throughout the week the Communications Center received several calls regarding cows that were visiting up at Pioneers Hospital. In total, dispatch received 6 calls on the visitors.
9/8/2022 @ 11:16 am. Several 911 calls came into the communication center for a fire that was reported near the 68-mile marker on Highway 64. Meeker Volunteer Fire Department was able to put the fire out. No structures were threatened or lost.
9/8/2022 @ 3:30 pm. A wildland fire was reported near the 13-mile marker on Highway 64. Rangely Fire Department was able to put the fire out. No structures were threatened or lost.
9/8/2022 @ 8:55 pm. A report of a car vs deer at the 25-mile marker on Highway 13. The driver was not injured. The deer was not as lucky.
9/8/2022 @ 9:13 pm. Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office assisted Rangely PD with a male party that had a warrant for failure to appear.
9/8/2022 @ 9:59 pm. Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office responded to Rangely District Hospital on a report of a suspicious party requesting food and water. The deputy assisted the party with the needed supplies and found a safe place for the male party to rest.
09/09/2022 @ 6:14 pm. Rio Blanco County Sheriff’s Office assisted Rangely PD with a report of a theft and vandalism in the town limits of Rangely.
09/10/2022 @ 2:02 pm. A traffic complaint was reported near the 29-mile marker of Highway 13. A deputy was able to locate the vehicle and educated the driver on safe driving habits.
09/10/2022 @ 2:54 pm. Garfield County Sheriff’s Office contacted the Rio Blanco County Communications Center regarding a harassment that occurred in Rio Blanco County near Meadow Lake. The harassment stemmed from a disagreement over ATV driving. A deputy was able to contact the suspect and issued a summons for harassment.
09/10/2022 @ 8:40 pm. A burglary was reported at a residence on County Road 8. The lock to the gate was cut and a lock to the shop was pried off. Several thousand dollars’ worth of gear was reportedly taken.
09/11/2022 @ 10:28 am. A traffic complaint was reported near the 54-mile marker Highway 13. The driver was contacted by an officer and given a warning.
