Your community news roundup: March 21, 2024

Welp, I spent a whole week wondering if I forgot to add the ways you can help continue our community story … oops.

Here they are, for real this time. But first … an explanation?

“I don’t have a train of thought. I have seven trains on four tracks that narrowly avoid each other when the paths cross … and all the conductors are screaming.” An explanation … of sorts.

Actually, the real reason is that the website freaked out and I ended up having to write the newsletter twice and thus, mistakes.

Anyhoo, as I said last week, we are working through some big changes and tough decisions at the Herald. Full update to come. If you’d like to get involved, HERE are the options!

1. Become a citizen journalist.
Work on freelance assignments, features, and more. Training provided.

2. Support local businesses in effective marketing.
Help local business owners plan and implement effective print/digital campaigns as a sales representative. Flexible schedule + commission.

3. Apply for The Lyttle Project editorial board.
Provide guidance on coverage decisions + help facilitate transition of
the Herald to nonprofit status.

For additional details on any of these, please email Niki.

Don’t wait!
