MEEKER — After a snowy week of little practice and kids gone on spring break the MHS track team traveled across the county to take part in Rangely’s Panther Invitational.

Ryan Wix, Caleb Ball and Ethan Overton all had good outings in the throws. Mandi Cornelius gave it her best in the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles. Trenton Schindler and Toby Casias both went sub 12 in the 100-meter dash and freshman Kathryn Doll placed seventh in a field of more than 30 in a time of 13:57.
The quartet of Toby Casias, Brock Campbell, Terrence Casias and Trenton Schindler placed fourth in the 4×200 meter relay. Casias, Schindler, Jake Nieslanik and Caleb Ball placed seventh in the 4×100 meter relay. Adrienne Wix, Meg Nieslanik, Gabie Goettel and Kathryn Doll took sixth in the girls’ 4×100 relay.
Jared Frantz ran a 57 in the open 400 and Adia Comeau competed in the open 400 and 200.
Brock Campbell, Terrence Casias and Cameron Glasscock competed in the 800-meter run with Brock placing fourth in 2:08 and Terrence placing seventh in 2:13. Trenton Schindler ran a 24.6 in the 200 just missing out on a place and Pat Love ran a 26.6. Terrence Casias, Toby Casias, Jared Frantz and Brock Campbell placed fourth in the 4×400 making a few tactical errors, this team ran some excellent 400s.
