Coach Brian Merrifield led his son Trapper and classmates in the senior all-state game last Saturday June, 2. Trapper Merrifield led off with a triple followed by teammate Chase’s walk and Doak Mantle’s out of the park home run to bring them all home. “Won first game 10-9 and dominated second game 12-4,” said Merrifield. “What a great day!” Logan Hughes was also selected to play in the all-state game but was unable to make it due to football.
