Plein Air Art comes to Meeker on Aug. 15-23
MEEKER I Meeker will host the second annual Plein Air Art Competition in late August this year. This competition draws artists from around Colorado who will paint “en plein air” within a 50 mile radius of downtown Meeker, creating spectacular paintings from our picturesque surroundings.

The Rangely Hurricanes took 18 swimmers to the Western Slope League meet in Grand Junction, and, according to their coach, “The kids all improved and did a great job.”
FCCLA Gold…
Three Meeker High School students — incoming sophomore Jenna Walsh and incoming seniors Piper Haney and Aly Ridings — traveled to Nashville, Tenn., to compete in the National Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) competition after earning top gold at the state competition in Denver in April.
