Williams to increase Piceance production
RBC I Williams, which has the largest operation in the Piceance Basin, will add another rig in the Piceance by the end of the year, or sooner, as part of its effort to increase production in the next two years, the Grand Junction Sentinel reported Aug. 16.

Study released on horse population control efforts
MEEKER I The Bureau of Land Management has released for public review an environmental assessment addressing the gather plan to keep the wild horse population southwest of Meeker within appropriate levels.
First planning meeting set for Holidayfest
RANGELY I The first Holidayfest planning meeting will be held at noon Tuesday, Sept. 14 at Town Hall. The annual Rangely holiday celebration will be held Saturday, Dec. 4. Kristina White is the new Holidayfest chairwoman.
