RHS golfers open season

RANGELY I After only three days of practice, Rangely Senior High golfers participated in their first tournament Aug. 12 at Battlement Mesa Golf Course. Playing a tough course and in windy conditions, the Panthers struggled according to coach Ellen Boudreaux.

Williams to increase Piceance production

RBC I Williams, which has the largest operation in the Piceance Basin, will add another rig in the Piceance by the end of the year, or sooner, as part of its effort to increase production in the next two years, the Grand Junction Sentinel reported Aug. 16.
