MEEKER I Colorado Wildlife Commissioner Allan Jones will hold a public meeting in Meeker to get local input on wildlife issues. The meeting will be held at the Mountain Valley Bank (Fourth and Main streets) from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. The meeting is open to the public.

RBC I The Colorado Workforce announced July 28 the availability of wage subsidy funding for regional businesses to hire new employees. The program is made available through the region’s allocation of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act workforce development funding.
Red Cross CPR class in Meeker this weekend
MEEKER I There will be a Red Cross first-aid/CPR class Friday from 6 to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. The class is targeted to the lay responder with no previous training in emergency response.
