Blunt, Shults shine at Ladies’ Deerfly
MEEKER I The annual Ladies’ Deerfly Golf Tournament did not have a large field but the competition was tough, especially in the second flight, where local golfers Hallie Blunt and Sally Lou Shults won the title.

The 2016 Coed Softball season, sponsored by the Eastern Rio Blanco Metropolitan Recreation and Park District, started Monday with games played on both Paintbrush Park fields. The league consists of six teams with games being played Mondays and Wednesdays, on both fields. The first game starts at 6:30 p.m.

MEEKER I The calendar is set for this year’s Range Call Celebration and it will be a fun-filled four days featuring Blackhawk and Ned LeDoux in concert.
Plein air artists out and about within county
MEEKER I The Plein Air Meeker 2016 art competition has returned this year, and paint out is now underway through June 30. During paint out, which began Wednesday, fans can keep an eye open for artists painting outside, almost anywhere throughout Rio Blanco County.
