MEEKER I On May 17, Meeker Elementary School fourth- and fifth-graders had the chance to participate in the Western Slope’s inaugural CO-STARS (Colorado Sensing Talent and Recognizing Scholarship) academic contest.

MEEKER I The Rio Blanco County Historical Society and Meeker Arts and Cultural Committee are partnering again at this year’s annual Old Timers’ Dinner and Dance to capture stories from area pioneers and their descendants.

Dear Editor: I am disappointed in your headline. Your headline about the Destination Imagination teams diminishes their incredible accomplishment. None of those teams stumbled. In fact, they have accomplished things and learned life lessons that many adults still need to learn.

Susan Goettel resigns as RE1 superintendent
