MHS wrestlers crown four champions in Kremmling
MEEKER I The Cowboy wrestling team won the West Grand Invitational last Saturday in Kremmling, crowning four champions, including the tournament’s Outstanding Wrestler. Meeker finished ahead of second place Basalt and third place Saratoga, Wyo.

Holiday concert…
The Meeker Elementary School Christmas concert was held last week. Barone Middle School will perform tonight at 7 p.m., in the MHS auditorium.
Cowboys crown four
MEEKER I Due to injury and/or illness, six Meeker High School wresters who were on the Cowboy’s varsity team the first week did not wrestle the second week and the Cowboys did not defend their team title at the Soroco Invitational.
Old Man Winter…
Meeker finally received some much-needed snow Sunday evening and into Monday but the sky was blue and the sun was shining Tuesday. About four inches fell in Meeker and 18 inches were reported to have fallen in nearby Steamboat Springs.

Meeker High School football players J.C. Henderson, Jake Phelan, Scott Smith, Fernando Olivas, J.R. Crawford and Joe Newman were all recently honored by the Western Slope League.
MHS Cowboys earn 2nd place at WREA Shootout
MEEKER I The Meeker Cowboys basketball team gained a berth in the championship game of the annual White River Electric “Cowboy Shootout” Saturday afternoon, but ended on the short side of the stick as they fell to Moffat County 50-46.
