A groundbreaking ceremony for Meeker’s new $18.5 million elementary school, scheduled for completion in 2010, will be at 4 p.m. Friday at the worksite, east of the Meeker Recreation Center. A construction crew began excavation work last week.

MEEKER — The Mesa County Cinderella Pageant was held at Mesa State College on March 28, and two Meeker girls came away with titles.
