Letter to the Editor: Higher taxes on oil

Dear Editor: The administration and too many members of Congress still want to levy higher taxes on oil and natural gas producers, a policy that would not only discourage investment and kill job creation, but also weaken our energy security and national defense.

Our community got a double dose of sad news Saturday last with the passing of Kris Borchard and Jeb Berthelson. It is my hope we can all find the peace I believe Kris and Jeb now have.

Letter: Bounty on Coyotes

The deer herd in Rio Blanco County is the lowest it has been in the last 50 years since my family has been processing game. I will admit there were too many deer in the ‘50s for the range to support along with cows, sheep and yes, wild horses.
