Smoke seen south of Rangely

RANGELY I Smoke visible to the south of Rangely this week was the result of a plan by the Northwest Colorado Fire Management Unit to burn approximately 180 piles of pinyon/juniper slash accumulated during a thinning project.

Holiday mail for heroes …

Rangely Cub Scout Packs 189/191 held a pack meeting and did a service project called “Holiday Mail for Heroes” affiliated with the Red Cross, where scouts and families make cards for our service men and women everywhere to show gratitude for their service.

RDH open house …

Rangely District Hospital will host an open house in the new hospital Friday, Dec. 14, giving tours of the new facility starting at 11 a.m. The new hospital is expected to open Jan. 7, 2013.

RHS split games
