Rio Blanco County gets $374,000 from state

RBC I The Associated Governments of Northwest Colorado is pleased to announce that Gov. John Hickenlooper on Friday signed into law legislation providing the immediate distribution of more than $4.2 million to local governments from the Local Government Permanent Fund (LGPF). Rio Blanco County will receive $374,806 from that fund.

Dinosaur National Monument expanding services for summer

DINOSAUR I “With the arrival of spring, Dinosaur National Monument will offer expanded services for visitors. We are seeing more people enjoying the monument everyday with the warmer weather and we are looking forward to a busy season ahead,” acting monument superintendent Mark Foust announced Friday.

Consultants will move ahead with expanded trails master plan

RBC I Great Outdoors Consultants (GOC), the company hired in November to create a trails master plan for motorized — and non-motorized use in Rio Blanco County, presented several trail concepts at the second of three public workshops during March in Rangely and Meeker.
