Doll wins state title
— 12 state medals return to Rio Blanco County — RBC I Meeker High School junior Kathryn Doll became the first lady Cowboy to win an individual state track title in the current century.
Cowboys send 10 to state track
The Cowboy track and field team will send seven boys and three girls to compete in the 2011 Colorado State Track and Field State Championships, starting today in JeffCo Stadium in Denver.
RHS tracksters earn PRs
This weekend the RHS track and field team traveled to Battle Mountain High School to participate in their second annual Husky track meet.
Final chance to qualify for state track
This year, in order to qualify for the Colorado State Track and Field Championships, an athlete must post a time or distance in the top 18 in the state as there is no longer a regional meet where the top three times/distances qualify.
Foggy track

RHS Panthers end baseball season for Cowboys

RBC teams play for playoffs
Rio Blanco County’s high school baseball teams met in Rangely yesterday after press time for a doubleheader, which are the final games of the regular season for Meeker and will have district playoff implications for both teams.
RBC track teams run, jump in rain
Saturday, April 23, Rangely High School track and field traveled to Rifle for their invitational track meet.
Boesch breaks five-minute mile
Meeker High School freshman Jake Boesch broke the five-minute-mile time barrier last Saturday during a cold and rainy day in Rifle. Several other members of the Meeker track team set personal records (PR). The Meeker boys’ team finished second behind the host team and the girls placed sixth.
Cowboys compete in two meets
The Cowboy track team continues to improve, qualifying more members for the state meet and several marking personal records in their events.
