MEEKER — The Cowboys will make their second trip to the Colorado State 2A basketball tournament in three years by virtue of their regional victories last weekend over Longmont Christian, 62-53, and Custer County 69-46.

Lady Cowboys finish runners-up in district

MEEKER — For the first time in several years, Meeker High School was the site of the district basketball tournament, where four girls’ and four boys’ teams played for a district title and seeds in the upcoming regional tournaments, which all eight teams will advance to.

Cowboys open district with win

MEEKER — The Cowboys started the district basketball tournament in convincing style last Saturday with a lopsided 88-35 victory over the West Grand Mustangs in Meeker for the first round of the playoffs.

Cowboys end disappointing season at state

Lady Cowboys whip Plateau Valley 64-43 in first round

MEEKER — The Meeker girls’ basketball team ended the season for the Lady Cowboys from Plateau Valley last Saturday in the first round of the district tournament and will now host the final four teams this Friday and Saturday.
