RANGELY I The Rangely High School track teams braved lousy weather this past weekend at the Tiger Invitational in Grand Junction on Friday and Saturday, the last chance for the athletes to turn in times or heights to qualify for state.

MEEKER I A dozen Meeker athletes will compete in the 2015 Colorado Track and Field Championships starting today in Denver at Jefferson County Stadium.
MHS girls’ team smashes school record in the 1,600-meter relay
MEEKER I With one track meet left in the regular season, many Meeker athletes have pre-qualified for the 2015 Colorado State Track and Field Meet, with several on the cusp of qualifying and hoping to do so at Saturday’s meet in Grand Junction.
Rangely boys second, girls eighth as Panthers host league championship
RANGELY I Rangely hosted the Western Slope 2A League Track and Field Championships on Saturday with 12 teams participating from West Grand to Cedaredge and close to 300 athletes participating in six field events, 8 individual running events and five relays.
Barone wraps up its track season
MEEKER I The Barone Middle School track athletes completed their 2015 season on Saturday in Baggs. Made up of seventh and eighth graders, the team competed at Coal Ridge, Rangely and also had a fun night of relays in Craig on Thursday.
MHS baseball team takes streak of four wins to weekend district tourney
MEEKER I The Meeker High School Cowboys baseball team will take a four-game winning streak into the district tournament this weekend in Delta, where the champion will advance to the state tournament.

RHS soccer girls improve
RANGELY I The Rangely High School girls’ soccer team has seen a lot of improvement this year, according to head coach Patsy Wanstedt. After last weekend’s play, Wanstedt noted that the team has scored more goals while holding the opposition to fewer scores.
Meeker track team continues its efforts to qualify for state
MEEKER I The regular track season is winding down, and the Meeker track team continues to improve, with the goal of qualifying as many athletes as possible for the 2015 Colorado State Track and Field Championships in Denver in less than three weeks.

RANGELY I The Clint Wells Invitational in Craig was held on Friday, a cold, windy and rainy day, but the Rangely Panther tracksters didn’t let that bother them as there were many personal records broken as well as some class records.
