The Rangely Panthers wrestling team was in Craig this past weekend. Forty Rangely wrestlers competed in the tournament with 25 placing in the top four.

Atwood, Atoafa stand out at MHS track meet
MEEKER I Most of the Meeker High School track and field team started their spring break just a little later than the rest of the school, but their sacrifice was well worth it. Members from both the boys’ and girls’ teams had career days.

The Rangely High School girls’ soccer team has played three games and will be looking for their first win this Saturday against Vail Christian.

Elijah Deming waits for a whistle to start drilling a half nelson on his workout partner during a recent youth wrestling practice. Deming and several of his teammates will wrestle in the Bad Dog tournament this Saturday in Craig.
BMS wrestlers qualify 14 for state tourney
MEEKER I Twenty-two Barone Middle School wrestlers used their first day of spring break last Saturday to wrestle in the state qualifying regional tournament in Fruita. Fourteen of them placed in the top eight, qualifying them to wrestle in Denver this weekend.
