RHS competes at Cedaredge
This last weekend, the Rangely High School track and field team traveled to Cederedge to compete in their 11th annual invitational meet.
Panther Invite a success
Rangely High School was the site for the Panther Invitational wrestling tournament held last Saturday. Wrestlers from Rangely, Meeker, Rifle, New Castle, Parachute, Hotchkiss, Loma, Moffat County, Hayden, Vernal and Roosevelt attended the event.
Pontine finishes 4th at state
Meeker’s Devon Pontine concluded a good year with a fourth-place finish at the Colorado Middle School State Championships. Meeker was well-represented with 12 wrestlers competing in the event.

Coming back from spring break with one full week of practice the Rangely track team opened the season in Hotchkiss last Saturday.
Lady Cowboys celebrate season
Tuesday, March 22, the Lady Cowboys celebrated a spectacular ending to a tumultuous season. The senior parents hosted a banquet for the team, coaches and their families.
Wrestlers finish second at regionals
Meeker middle school wrestlers traveled to Mesa State College last weekend to participate in the Colorado middle school regional wrestling tournament. Thirty-two middle schools from the western slope participated in the tournament. The top eight in each weight qualified for the state tournament.
Denny pitches no-hitter vs. Tigers Hayden Tigers
Panther junior Kody Denny pitched a no-hitter against Hayden last week, as his team defeated the Tigers 25-1.
Scherbarth earns bronze at hoop shoot
Chris Scherbarth, 9, represented Colorado in the Region 8 Elks Hoop Shoot March 12 in Denver.
LeBlanc earns All-American honors for third time
Former Meeker High School graduate Joe LeBlanc earned All-American honors with a sixth place finish in the 184-pound bracket at the NCAA Division I National Championships, held last week in Philadelphia, Penn.
