Panthers drop two to Cougars

RANGELY — The Panthers faced off against the Union Cougars on Tuesday. The Cougars were just too much for Rangely, ending both games in just five innings. Beating the Panthers 16-6 and 18-4.

BMS wrestlers end season

MEEKER — Seven middle school wrestling teams competed in the final tournament of the season last Saturday in Meeker.

Brenton earns all-American status

RANGELY — Former Rangely High School graduate Jason Brenton, currently a sophomore at Western State College in Gunnison, recently earned all-American honors by finishing eighth in the NCAA Division II national track and field meet in Mankato, Minn., March 14-15.

Peewee wrestlers open season in Hayden

MEEKER — Twenty-seven peewee wrestlers from Meeker competed in the Hayden tournament last Saturday. The young Cowboys placed 16 in the top four and will compete in Rifle this Saturday.
