RHS ready for regionals
RANGELY I The Rangely Panthers wrestled five dual meets in Meeker last Saturday in the final matches of the regular season and will now compete in the state-qualifying regional tournament this weekend at Grand Junction High School. The Panthers had seven varsity wrestlers and won one of the five duals.

RANGELY I “It was the same story, different game,” Rangely girls’ basketball coach Quinton Kent said of his team’s 41-28 win over the Vail Christian Saints last Saturday at home. “We got off to a somewhat slow start but then buckled down defensively in the second half and pulled away.”

RANGELY I “This is gonna be one of those games that got away,” Rangely boys’ basketball coach Eric Hejl said about the 42-49 loss in Hayden after his team jumped out to a 20-4 lead at the end of the first quarter.
RHS wrestles in Rifle, GJ
RANGELY I Rangely wrestlers Lucas Heinle and Ethan Allred went undefeated in matches last weekend in Rifle and Grand Junction. The Panthers will wrestle five duals in Meeker this Saturday in the final competition before the state-qualifying regional tournament Feb. 15 and 16.
Lady Panthers win two league games
RANGELY I The lady Panthers basketball team won two league games last weekend defeating the lady Tigers (49-35) in Hayden last Friday then beating the lady Rams from Soroco (36-29) at home Saturday last. The lady Panthers will travel to Vail this Saturday to play Vail Christian.
Panthers defeat Plateau Valley, DeBeque
RANGELY I The Panthers boys’ basketball team won two games last weekend, defeating the Plateau Valley Cowboys 43-34, then pounding DeBeque 61-32 at home Saturday last. The Panthers will play in Hayden this Friday and host the Soroco Rams this Saturday afternoon.

RANGELY I Almost half the the Panther wrestling team did not compete last weekend because of illness but four of the five who did wrestle placed in the top three, including two individual champions.

RANGELY I The Rangely and Meeker middle school basketball teams provided great games over the weekend with each team winning two.
Lady Panthers beat Plateau Valley
RANGELY I The lady Panthers basketball team only played one game last weekend but came home from Collbran with a 41-28 victory, with all but one Rangely player getting in the scorebook.
Panthers beat Mustangs
RANGELY I The Panthers found the competition tough last Friday in Baggs, Wyo., losing 50-60 to the Little Snake River Rattlers for a third time this season but came back and defeated the West Grand Mustangs 37-33 in Kremmling last Saturday, starting league play with a win.
