RANGELY I The Rangely High School Panthers defeated the Vail Christian Saints in a league basketball game at home Saturday, and they will host the Rams from South Routt County (Soroco) in a non-league game today, starting at 5:30 p.m.

Panthers find success at home tournament
RANGELY I More than 150 wrestlers from 13 schools competed in the inaugural Vern Rose Memorial wrestling tournament in Rangely on Saturday, and all six varsity Panthers advanced to the championship round. “The tournament was a success,” Rangely head coach Jeff Heinle said.

RANGELY I The Rangely Panthers boys’ basketball team defeated the West Grand Mustangs from Kremmling 53-49 at home Friday, and, this Friday, the Panthers will host Plateau Valley then travel to Debeque on Saturday.

The Rangely and Meeker middle schools girls’ basketball teams split games last week in Meeker with the eighth-grade games being won by Rangely and the seventh-grade games by Meeker.
