PRESS RELEASE
RBC | As the nation prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary and Colorado marks 150 years of statehood, the America 250 – Colorado 150 Commission is inviting businesses, nonprofits, educational institutions and local governments across the state to help bring this once-in-a-generation commemoration to life. Through the campaign theme “The View From Here,” Coloradans are invited to reflect on the past, celebrate the present and imagine our future together.
Organizations across Colorado are encouraged to get involved by launching internal programs, initiating commemorative projects or hosting community events that align with the campaign’s values of reflection, inclusion and statewide unity. There are countless ways to participate, from public art installations and speaker series to historical talks, festivals and themed product launches. Whether building something new or co-branding an existing event, activities can be added to the statewide America 250 – Colorado 150 calendar and promoted using official branding—offering a powerful opportunity to amplify your impact and be part of something truly historic.
“This commemoration belongs to all of us,” said Commissioner Jay Seaton, Owner/Publisher of The Daily Sentinel in Grand Junction. “We hope to see businesses and organizations across the state stepping up to celebrate what makes Colorado unique—and helping us envision a bright future for the next 150 years.”
The Commission invites all businesses and organizations to proudly incorporate the America 250 – Colorado 150 logo into their events, products, and outreach. Whether you’re a brewery crafting a commemorative beer, a retailer launching special-edition merchandise or a nonprofit planning a community day of service, the logo is a unifying symbol of celebration and statewide pride. We encourage you to get creative—activate your employees through volunteer days, align with local nonprofits or find unique ways to spotlight Colorado-made products. The more we see the logo across the state, the stronger our shared message becomes: this milestone belongs to every Coloradan.
In addition to encouraging grassroots and community involvement, the Commission continues to offer corporate sponsorship opportunities for its signature initiatives. High-visibility programs include the statewide drone show series, a digital passport accessible on the MyColorado app and Colorado.com, traveling exhibitions and a landmark 14er climb unlike anything Colorado has seen in decades. The Commission has also aligned with major Colorado foundations to provide funding opportunities for local organizations.
To make it easy for every Colorado organization, community and individual to participate, the Commission has released a comprehensive Community Toolkit featuring planning resources, branding guidelines, marketing templates and ideas for engagement—all available at Am250CO150.org.
