Junior golf…

The ERBM Recreation and Park District has teamed up with the Meeker Golf Course for the junior golf program and 30 kids showed up for the first practice.

Paintbrush Park will be busy every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in the month of July, as games in the annual adult recreational coed softball league, sponsored by the ERBM Recreation and Park District, began Monday on both fields.

Graffiti buster…

Joe Brasfield cleans up graffiti on Middle Street in Rangely. The graffiti, in white spray paint, was put in two locations on Middle Street sometime in the early morning hours of July 5. Brasfield, a Town of Rangely employee, was given the task of removing the offensive remarks.

MACC presents dinner theater

MEEKER I The Meeker Arts and Cultural Council (MACC) proudly presents its first performing arts dinner theatre production of an old west comedy, “Sagebrush Sidekicks” on Saturday, July 28 at the old elementary school gymnasium on Fifth and Main streets.

Teachers have moved back into the Meeker Elementary School and the Neenan Company has been working on the final punch list for the structural repairs and renovation. Visitors increase at center

DINOSAUR I “Since the opening of the new Quarry Visitor Center and Quarry Exhibit Hall last October, Dinosaur National Monument has experienced an increase in park visitation over 2011’s numbers,” announced Superintendent Mary Risser.
