ARRESTS
9/14/2023 A 62 year old female party was arrested and transported to Moffat County Jail on charges of harassment and domestic violence. A PR bond was granted by Judge Potosky on 9/15.
CALL SUMMARIES
9/10/2023 @ 10:34 am. Fraud was reported when a victim rented a 5th wheel on VRBO during the sheep dog trials. When they arrived, the camper could not be located and the owner could not be contacted. It was later learned that the owner had taken the 5th wheel out of state and was asked to refund the money.
9/13/2023 @ 17:24 pm. A smell of H2S gas was reported near some older gas pumps near Highway 64. The reporting party works in the oil and gas field and was familiar with the smell. The company who owned the pumps was contacted and tried to locate the source of a possible leak.
9/15/2023 @ 13:19 pm. Ongoing issues between neighbors involving a driveway easement was reported. A surveyor had come out and put a flag marking the boundary. The neighbor decided to put a large stake 30″ from the surveyors stake.
9/16/2023 @ 00:52 am An accident between a truck and a cow happened along Highway 139. Neither one made out too well. The truck had to be towed and the cow was dispatched.
9/16/2023 @ 14:32 pm Reporting party swerved to miss another cow on Highway 139 and in turn hit a rock. There was little damage to the vehicle but the air bags were deployed.
