A huge thank-you to the Meeker Recreation Center for keeping the dream alive with this year’s Bark In the Park. It was wonderful to see everyone having such a great time socializing and meeting new friends. Thank you for opening the pool up, too, that was priceless.

All-church picnic set for Sunday, Aug. 22
MEEKER I The annual all-church picnic will be Sunday, Aug. 22 at 1:30 p.m. at the City Park pavilion. Everyone is welcome. Hamburgers and hot dogs with the fixin’s, drinks and tableware will be provided. Bring a covered dish, salad, dessert or other food item to share.
Brief power outage strikes Meeker Friday
MEEKER I A power outage occurred Friday night, turning the lights out, literally, on the town of Meeker. But it didn’t last long.
Graffiti vandals strike Meeker buildings
MEEKER I Six structures around town, including the back side of the post office, were targets of graffiti. “It happened between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. on Sunday night or Monday morning,” said Police Chief Bob Hervey. “We are still investigating.”
