RBC high school golf starts today
RBC I The 2013-14 school year has not started yet, but high school golfers in Rio Blanco County started practice Monday and play in their first tournament today in Battlement Mesa. Practice for football, volleyball and cross county officially starts Monday.

MEEKER I The Cowboys headed down to Grand Junction to run along the Colorado River at the Anna Banana Memorial Wildcat Invitational this past weekend, competing with 23 other teams from both the sides of the state.

MEEKER I The Meeker Cowboys cross country team has quietly been moving up the 2A division ranks and is now considered a top 10 team under the strong running of sophomore Jake Boesch and junior Lathrop Hughes.
Scoggins takes 17th at state
RANGELY I Rangely’s Wil-liam Scoggins finished 17th at the state cross country meet, but he was hoping for better. “It’s pretty disappointing as both William and Devin (Williams) were sick,” Matt Scoggins said.
