Meeker tracksters advance to state competition
MEEKER I The Meeker High School Track and Field team competed at the new and improved Stoker Stadium in Grand Junction last Thursday and Friday at the Western Slope League Meet. Warm weather and stiff competition in the girl’s field led to numerous new league records.

MEEKER I On Saturday April 7, the Meeker High School track and field team returned to competition for the first time after spring break. While some teammates showed a little rust, others were able start where they left off. Once again, the scoring of Toby Casias led the boys’ team.

Cowboys send 10 to state track
The Cowboy track and field team will send seven boys and three girls to compete in the 2011 Colorado State Track and Field State Championships, starting today in JeffCo Stadium in Denver.
Final chance to qualify for state track
This year, in order to qualify for the Colorado State Track and Field Championships, an athlete must post a time or distance in the top 18 in the state as there is no longer a regional meet where the top three times/distances qualify.
